General Information
•
Ensure the unit received is the correct model
f
or the intended application.
•
Ensure re
f
rigerant, voltage, are suitable
f
or the proposed application and environment.
•
Installation and maintenance are to be per
f
ormed only by quali
f
ied personnel
w
ho are
f
amiliar
w
ith local codes and regulations, and experienced
w
ith this type o
f
equipment.
•
The condensing unit is delivered
w
ith a nitrogen holding charge.
•
The condensing unit contains moving machinery and electrical po
w
er hazards. May cause severe injury or death. Disconnect and shut o
ff
po
w
er
be
f
ore installation or service o
f
the equipment.
•
Re
f
rigerant release into the atmosphere is illegal. Proper evacuation, handling and lea
k
testing procedures must be observed at all times.
•
Units must be earthed and no maintenance
w
or
k
should be attempted prior to disconnecting the electrical supply.
•
The electrical covers and condenser
f
an guard must remain
f
itted at all times.
•
Use o
f
the condensing unit outside o
f
design conditions and application
f
or
w
hich units
w
ere intended may be unsa

e and be detrimental to the
unit, regardless short or long term operation.
•
The condensing units are not designed to

ithstand loads or stresses

rom other equipment or personnel. Such extraneous loads or stress may
cause

ailure/lea
k
/injury.

Wherever possible the system should be installed to utilize a pump do
w
n con
f
iguration.
•
Af
ter installation, the system should be allo
w
ed to run
f
or 3 - 4 hours. The oil level should be chec
k
ed a
f
ter 3 - 4 hours run time and topped up as
necessary. The oil level should not be lo
w
er than quarter o
f
the compressor oil sight glass.
