15.2 To drain the storage tank

The water in the storage tank and all the connected piping can be very hot.
15.2.1 To drain the storage tank without a connected pressureless solar system
To prepare draining when no optional fill and drain kit is available

Open the screw plug of the spillover connection.

Unplug the spillover connector.

Connect the loose end of the spillover drain hose to an appropriate drain.
To prepare draining when an optional fill and drain kit is available

Remove the connection cover from the screw plugs on the front.

Open the screw plug of the upper connection on the front.

Insert the screw plug into the fill and drain kit and secure with the clip
contained in the option kit.
