Detailed information on internal functions
This section explains the detailed information of internal functions in the order of function No.
6.7.2.1
F1: Standard/Extended cable mode
Sets the welding control status for extended cables for the application of Manual mode. This function is available when
Manual/Auto. is set to "Manual" and WELDING PROCESS is set to "DC".
Extending the cables at the base metal side/torch side or power cables such as torch cables can cause extraordinary volume
of spatter. When this happens, turning this function ON (extended cable mode) can improve the status.
•
"ON": Extended cable mode
Set to "ON" for the length of extension cable longer than 30 m. Set to "ON", "DC (extended)" will be displayed at the
welding process menu in HOME screen.
•
"OFF": Standard cable mode
T I P S
• In using the welding power source in the "Auto." mode, the setting of this function is set to "OFF" and
cannot be changed.
• When the status is not improved even by setting of this function to "ON", combined use of the voltage
detection cable is recommended.
When using the voltage detection cable, set the internal function F38 (Arc voltage detection switching)
to "1". (
