Appendix D—Putty Terminal

Putty is software to login the background platform ESS series product. You can use this software

to reset when you forget WEB login password or IP address so that you can use the device.

Note



You can use network port (SSH protocol) or COM to login the background.



Before the operation, please connect network cable or COM cable.

Please download Putty software and copy it to your PC.

Double click

, you can see an interface shown as in Figure 9-1.

If you login via the network port, please select connection type as SSH and input IP address at

the Host Name (or IP address) such as 172.12.5.210.

Please select serial and input speed as 115200 if you login via the COM. See Figure 9-2.

Please note you need to login via the COM if you forgot your device IP address.
