5 Device Installation
This section details installing the camera to a wall or ceiling. Note that the wall or ceiling must be
capable of supporting a minimum of three times the weight of the camera and a bracket (if used).
DO NOT connect the camera to the power supply during installation.
Figure 5-1
1. Remove the camera, the mounting template, and the hardware package from the box.
2. Use the hex wrench, included in the accessories bag, to loosen the three hex screws on the dome
enclosure. Then, remove the dome enclosure from the pedestal.
3. Place the mounting template against the installation surface and pre-drill the three perimeter
holes for the expansion bolts, using a drill bit that is no wider than the expansion bolt.
4. Determine the route of the cables from the camera:
If the cables route through the installation surface, drill an exit hole as marked on the
mounting template.
If the cables route to the side of the camera, route the cables through the U-shape channel on
the dome pedestal, and then through the side exit hole on the pedestal.
5. Insert an expansion bolt into each pre-drilled perimeter hole.
6. Insert an optional Micro SD Card (128 GB, maximum) into the slot in the pedestal.
7. Adjust the camera pedestal so that the TOP is aligned with the TOP of the mounting template.
Then, pull cables through the exit hole, if necessary, in the installation surface.
8. Align the three holes on the base of the camera with the expansion bolts. Put the three self-
tapping screws through the holes in the pedestal and then through the three plastic expansion
bolts and secure firmly.
