In case of malfunction, before calling for service, review this section for a possible resolution.

• Immediately call gas supplier from
neighbor's phone; follow gas supplier's
directions.
• If you cannot reach gas supplier, call fire

Push in control knob; turn to flame symbol (Lite)
position.

This is not a malfunction; set knob to HI for 1
minute, then adjust flame to desired cooking
level
Igniter sparks
erratically during
cooking.
Flame is being distorted by draft,
ventilation-hood fan, or other
means.
Eliminate drafts or other interference, or lower
hood's fan speed to end the sparking.
