2. Introduction
The D-Link
Air
DWL-700 AP Wireless Access Point is a standard
802.11b high-performance wireless access point. It is an ideal way to
extend the reach and number of computers connected to your wireless
network.
Like most 802.11b access points, the DWL-700AP is capable of data
transfer speeds of up to 11 Mbps when used with other D-Link
Air
products such as the DWL-610 Wireless CardBus Adapter.
After completing the steps outlined in the
Quick Installation Guide
(included
in your package) you will have the ability to share information and resources,
such as files and printers, and enjoy the freedom that wireless networking
delivers.
The DWL-700AP is compatible with most popular operating systems,
including Macintosh, Linux and Windows, and can be integrated into a large
network. This Manual is designed to help you connect the Access Point and
the D-Link
Air
2.4GHz Wireless Adapters into a network in Infrastructure
mode.

see an example of an Infrastructure network using the DWL-700AP.
