Section 4 - Configuration
The website filter settings allow you to block access to certain web sites. You
can either create a list of sites to block, or create a list of sites to allow (with all
other sites being blocked). To access this page, click
IP/MAC/Web Filtering
from the
Features
menu on the bar on the top of the page and then click
the
Website Filter
link. To return to the IP Filter page, click
IP Filter
.
If you want to create a list of sites to block, select
DENY computers access to
ONLY these sites
from the drop-down menu. All other sites will be accessible.
If you want to specify a list of sites to allow, select
ALLOW computers access
to ONLY these sites
from the drop-down menu. All other sites will be blocked.
You may specify a maximum of 16 web sites. To add a new site to the list, click
Add New Rule
. If you wish to remove a rule, click on its trashcan icon (
)
in
the Delete column. If you wish to edit a rule, click on its pencil icon ( ) in the
edit column.
If you enable Web Filtering, click
Add Rule
to create a new Web Filtering
rule.
Create New Rule
Name:
Create a name for the rule.
Website URL
Keyword:
Enter the Website URL Keyword to apply the rule to.
Schedule:
Use the drop-down menu to select the time schedule that the rule will
be enabled on. The schedule may be set to
Always
, or you can create
your own schedules in the
Schedules
section. Refer to
for more information.
Click
Apply
when you are done.
