Use the arrow keys to highlight the first menu item on the Boot Menu, Configure
IP, and press <Enter>. The

Configuring the IP
Each item on the
IP Configuration
screen is described below:
BOOTP:
Use the <Space> key to select the method that the VoIP gate-
way will use to obtain its IP settings once it is rebooted (restarted). Choices
include:
Manual:
When
Manual
is selected, the VoIP gateway will obtain its IP
settings from the fields located just below.
Notify Entity:
Enter the appropriate information for your call agent into
this field.
DNS:
Enter the IP address for the closest DNS server in this field if enables
the DNS function.
Residential GW:
This is the name your VoIP gateway will be known as
by the call agent. It usually consists of the IP address or a normal name.
DHCP:
When
DHCP
is selected, the VoIP gateway will attempt to ob-
tain its IP settings from a DHCP server located on your LAN.
BOOTP:
When
BOOTP
is selected, the VoIP gateway will attempt to
obtain its IP settings from a BOOTP server located on your LAN.
