this configuration, it is recommended that the line speed be
overridden by selecting either 10Mbps or 100Mbps in the
driver configuration, rather than let the Server Card use
auto-negotiation.
Software Installation
Windows 2000 and Windows NT 4.0 (with Service Pack 3
and NDIS Hot Fix), or later is needed before network
drivers are installed.
Note: Please make sure you have installed SNMP service
before you installed Service Pack 3 or later and NDIS Hot
Fix .
Driver Installation
After properly installing the adapter into the server, the
next step is to install the driver software.
For NT4.0, please refer to the following steps for driver
installation:
1)
Start the server with Windows NT 4.0 and insert the
software diskette into drive A or CD-ROM.
2)
Open the icons, My Computer
→
Control Panel
→
Networks.
3)
Select Add Adapter
→
Have Disk. Choose “D-Link
DFE-570TX PCI Fast Ethernet Server Adapter” .
