--with-manpage-aliases
extends “--with-manpage-aliases” to provide the option of
generating “.so” files rather than symbolic links for manpage
aliases.
--with-rel-version
workaround to force libtool on Darwin generate the “same” library
names as with the “--with-shared” option. The Darwin ld program
does not work well with a zero as the minor-version value.
--with-trace
