Fig. 2 Removing/Installing Outer Snap Ring
Attach a slide hammer to the axle shaft thread and
remove the axle and bearing from axle tube (Ref. Fig. 3).

Remove the bearing by supporting the inner race of the
bearing on an arbor press bed and apply pressure to the
threaded end of the axle shaft (Ref. Fig. 4).

Use care to prevent damage to the inner surface of
the axle tube at the sealing area.
Remove the inner snap ring (Ref. Fig. 5). Use a puller to
remove the seal (Ref. Fig. 6).
