Fitting the Lid to the Jug
• It is important that the lid should be fitted
and locked to the jug first before securing the
jug onto the base. Otherwise it will be very
difficult to lock the lid to the jug when the jug
is already mounted onto the base.
• Fit the lid properly on top of the jug and turn
the lid clockwise until it is locked. To ensure
the lid and jug is interlocked securely, check
that the triangle on the lid and the one on the
handle top is align and pointing towards each
other.
Fitting the Stopper/Measuring Cup
The stopper has an integral measuring cup useful for measuring small amounts of
ingredients.
Insert the stopper in the centre of the lid.
To avoid splashing, always operate the blender with the stopper firmly in place.
Fitting the Jug to the Base Unit
• Place the jug on the base. The jug will fit only
one way round.
• Turn the jug clockwise to lock, the triangle on
the handle bottom should be aligned with
the lock symbol marked on the base.
• To unlock, turn the jug anti-clockwise.
Unpacking and Product Overview
Remove all items from the packaging. Retain the packaging. If you dispose of it
please do so according to any local regulations.
Apart from the Instruction Manual, the following items are included:
First Time Use
1. Before using your blender for the first time, wash the jug, blade assembly, lid and
stopper. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
2. Place the base unit on a stable surface, free from heat and moisture and within
easy reach of a mains socket. The mains cable should not be taut.
Preparing and filling the ingredients
1. Cut the ingredients into 25mm (1”) cubes before placing them into the jug. If the
food is very solid or dry, cut the pieces into smaller cubes.
2. Fill the blender jug with the ingredients.
3. Do not overfill the jug. The maximum capacity is 1.5 litres. If you are preparing a
large quantity, use several smaller batches.
4. If the ingredients are very dry, put some liquid into the jug. You should never try
to reduce dry ingredients in the blender.

• It is important that the lid should
be fitted and locked to the jug first
before securing the jug onto the
base.
• The jug must be secured and locked
to the base, otherwise the blender
will not operate!
• Handle blades with care especially during cleaning as they are extremely sharp!
• If the rubber seal ring in the blade assembly is also taken out to clean, make
sure to re-assemble it back properly in place to avoid leakage (see “Cleaning the
blade assembly”).
Do not put the following as they may cause damage: bones, large pieces of solid,
frozen food, or tough foods such as turnips.
The lid must be secured and locked to
the jug, otherwise the blender will not
operate!
Operation
1. Make sure the jug and the lid are secure and locked in place (see “Fitting the Lid
to the Jug” and “Fitting the Jug to the Base Unit”).
2. Set the Speed Selector to ‘0’.
3. Plug your blender into the mains socket.
Operation Mode
Continuous
(Normal)
operation
• Select the desired operating speed. There are 2 speeds.
• Move the Speed Selector progressively to the right to increase the
speed.
• When you start blending use a low speed to begin with and gradually
increase the speed if necessary.
• To stop the operation, turn the Speed Selector back to ‘0’.
Pulsed operation
Use this mode when ingredients need to be blended in small repeated
bursts.
• Turn the Speed Selector to ‘P’ and hold it there for a short period of time.
• To stop the operation, release the Speed Selector which will then
automatically return to ‘0’.
During blending, you can feed in small amounts of food or liquid through the lid. To
do this:
1. Hold the lid.
2. Turn the stopper slowly to free it and then lift it out.
3. Gradually feed pieces of food or liquids into the jug.
4. Fit the stopper back when you have finished.
• Do not run the appliance continuously for more than 3 minutes. After a full 3
minute cycle allow the blender to rest for another 3 minutes before using it
again.
• Never blend very hot liquids in the blender. This is dangerous as the contents
may erupt.
• If you spill liquid on the base immediately switch off and wipe dry.
Smell may emit during first time use, this is not a fault and will disappear after a
few uses.
After Use
After you have finished blending:
1. Set the Speed Selector to ‘0’.
2. Unplug the blender from the mains socket.
3. Hold the jug by the handle and carefully turn it anti-clockwise to release it. (This
may be easier with one hand on the base and one hand holding the jug handle).
4. To pour out the contents, rotate the lid of the jug anti-clockwise to free it and
then lift off the lid. Pour or spoon out the contents carefully.
