IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using any electrical appliance, basic safety precautions
should always be followed.

WARNING
: To avoid risks of electrical shock, burns, injuries or fire,always make sure the unit
is unplugged from electrical outlet before assembling, diassembling, displacing, servicing or
cleaning.

ALWAYS
place appliance on a flat, level and stable surface.

DO NOT
let power cord hang over edge of table or counter or touch any hot surfaces.

DO NOT
place or use the unit or any parts on or near a hot gas or electric burner, in a heated
oven, under a broiler, on stove top or in freezer.

DO NOT
use or place appliance near or on any flammable materials such as tablecloth,
curtains, towels, paper, plastic and other.

DO NOT
operate this appliance on any flammable material such as a wood surface or
on any tablecloth. Do not operate this appliance on a non-heat-resistant surface as this
may damage surface. Place unit on a heat-resistant cooking surface such as tile, Formica®
or any surface protected with a heat resistant finish at least the size of the unit or larger,
to be placed underneath the appliance. This will serve to protect the surface underneath
the appliance from heat that could be generated by the unit.
6. This appliance should not be used by or near children, or individuals with certain
disabilities.
7. Before using this appliance please check carefully to make sure voltage (AC120V-60Hz) is
compatible with your home.

DO NOT
operate this or any other appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after
appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any way. Send the unit to the nearest
Authorized Service Center for inspection, repair or adjustment. (ONLY qualified
technicians should repair the unit.)
9. To avoid any risk of electrical shock,
DO NOT
immerse
cord or plug into water or other liquid.

To avoid risk of electrical shock, fire or injuries: DO NOT immerse Raclette Base,
Heating Elements, electrical cord or plug in water or other liquid.
11. A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce the hazards resulting from entanglement
or tripping over a longer cord. An extension cord may be used with care; however, be sure
the marked electrical rating is at least as great as the electrical rating of this appliance (listed
on the bottom panel of the unit). The extension cord should be positioned such that it does
not drape over the counter or table top where it can be pulled on by children or tripped
over.
DO NOT
use an outlet or extension cord if the plug fits loosely.
DO NOT
use extension
cord if electrical cord feels hot.
12. Keep electrical and extension cords away from appliance and any hot parts and surfaces of
the appliance during use.
13. The use of any accessories or attachments not recommended by the manufacturer may
cause injury.
14. Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
15. DO NOT touch any of the hot surfaces of the appliance. Always use the handles or knobs to
operate.
