The red arrows indicate the technical (positive) direction of the current.

The blue arrow indicates the technical (positive) direction of the voltage.

For the wiring displayed, the technical current and, if measured, the
technical voltage are output with the correct polarity.
Current and voltage measurement
Fig. 4-2 shows the appropriate diagram if current and voltage are to be measured. The source
is located on the left, the consumer on the right.
The current is measured in the
minus path
in order to minimize disturbances of the current
measurement. The voltage is measured on the consumer side between
plus
and
minus
path.
