Tips for best cooling output
and energy savings
Select a well ventilated location protected from
the sun.
Only place pre-cooled items in the electric cool
box.
Do not open the electric cool box longer than
necessary.
Do not leave the lid
2
open longer than nec-
essary.
Be sure not to overfill the electric cool box and
air can circulate sufficiently between the items
being cooled.
Before use
Place the electric cool box on a level surface.
Clean the electric cool box with a damp cloth.
Start-up
Note:
When powered by car battery be sure
the car engine is running. Operating the electric
cool box with the engine off may drain your
car battery and you will be unable to start the
engine.
Plug the DC connecting cable on the electric
cool box into the cigarette lighter socket in your
car, boat or caravan.
Close the electric cool box tightly using the
electric lid
2
, the product will start cooling.
After a short while you will be verify the electric
cool box is operating correctly by placing your
hand up to the aluminium vent inside the lid.
Note:
The plug does not have a status indicator.
Be sure not to accidentally leave the cool box
on as this will drain the car battery.
Replacing the 12 V fuse
Also see Figure B.
To replace the fuse
6
, loosen the screw
3
on the plug and disassemble the plug.
Remove the fuse
6
.
Note:
If the thin metal connection between the
two metal tips is broken, the fuse
6
is defective
and must be replaced.
Insert the new fuse
6
with care.
Reassemble the plug and screw in the screw
3
.
The plug is now ready for operation.
Troubleshooting
In the event the electric cool box malfunctions,
unplug and perform the following tests:
– Is the connection cable correctly connected
and does the cigarette lighter of your vehicle
function properly?
– Did you set up the electric cool box so air can
circulate freely to ensure the cooling unit is ven-
tilated?
– Is the fuse
6
inside the plug on the 12 V con-
necting cable defective?
– A fuse on the socket in your car, caravan or
boat may be defective. Most vehicles require
the ignition to be on to supply electricity.
– Is the electric cool box level?
– Did you overfill the cool box with food / bever-
ages? Arrange the food / beverages so air can
easily circulate inside the electric cool box.
Cleaning and Care
Do not use abrasive, solvent-based or aggres-
sive cleaners. Doing so may result in property
damage.
Always unplug the connecting cable from the
cigarette lighter before cleaning.
Otherwise there is a risk of electric shock.
Never clean the electric cool box under running
water. Doing so could damage the electrical
equipment.
Clean the electric cool box with a damp cloth
and a mild soap solution.
Rinse the parts cleaned with dishwater with
clear water.
The box should be cleaned and dried before
storing for extended periods. Leave the lid
