3.1. TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE

TRANSPORT / STORAGE

To avoid PV module damage:

Store PV module in dry premises. The package is not atmosphere influence resistible!

Transport the module in its original package until its instalation.

Use vacuum cupping glass for modules' movement and transportation or hold the module by
the edges.  Carry the module in vertical position when transporting over long distances.

Do not pick and do not move the module while using the cables or the junction box area in
under any circumstances!

Do not pile-up modules one over another!

Do not let the module to recline on its edges, without protecting it.

4. INSTALATION POSITIONING

The module is tested for safety operation in temperate climate.

Allowed   temperatures   for   the   module   are   between   -40

О

C   and   +85

О

C.  Check   if   there   is

adequate ventilation under the module, so the maximal temperature exceeding to be avoided.

Observe the requirements for functional grounding in dependence of modules positioning (see
chapter 5.4 “Grounding”).

Do not expose the module to the chemicals impact

Do not deep the module in water. Th junction box is resistible only to water drops.

Do not position the module neear to flamable gases or vapours (eg. gas containers) or near to
open fire or flamable materials.

AVOIDING THE SHADING

The optimal solar radiation leads to maximal electric production. This for, position the module in a way
that the photovoltaic cells to be oriented toward the sun.
Avoid module shading, as this will cause negative effect to its performance. It is believed that a module
is fully without shading, when there is no shadow over it though the year (eg. shadow from: buildings,
chimneys, trees). Even partial modules shading (eg. overhead cables, polution, snow) must be avoided
(see also chapter 7 “Cleaning and maintenance”).
Also carefuly revise the modules' orienatation specification and the inclination degree (see chapter 5.1
“Mechanical assemblying”).

5. ASSEMBLY AND INSTALATION

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING! Damaged modules' components can create risk of fire!

Instal only reliable photovoltaic module.

Before the instalation, make sure that junction box, cable and connectors are not damaged.

Do not open junction box in any circumstances.

Allways keep the photovoltaic module in dry premises. The package is not climate influence
resistible!

The modules' voltage is higher with lower temperatures and/or when there is higher radiation
than the Standard Test Conditions (25

O

C cells temperature, 1000W/m

2

, AM 1,5). This must be

taken into account when you connect several modules, so that the total voltage of the modules
strings must not exceed 1000 VDC (in agreement with IEC 61215, Edition 1/61730, Edition 2) or
600 VDC (in agreement with UL1703).

Please   comply   with   the   requirements   for   functional   grounding   in   dependence   of   modules'
positioning (see Chapter 5.4, “Grounding”)
