and an appropriate USB cable
(cf. Chap. "3.2.3 Necessary Accessories", p. 6)
(cf. Chap. "9.3.1 USB port", p. 42)
.
3
Connect the coin recycler to the mains using the power interface

and
the an appropriate 24 V-power supply unit and power cable
Make sure the CLS is powered using an appropriate power supply guaranteeing
the CLS is grounded to the mains
(cf. Chap. "9.4 Power supply requirements", p. 43)
.
If not, the CLS is not protected against electromagnetic interferences and
damage, and proper operation cannot be ensured.
Regulations for grounding systems vary considerably among countries. Please
consider all relevant and applicable local regulations and directives.
4
If necessary, reconnect the mains supply to the cash handling system.
5
Use the on-off switch

]
on the rear side to switch the CLS on
.
6
Initialize the CLS using the control unit computer.
Following a self test the top CLS illumination

is green indicating the
CLS to be ready to operate.
7
Fill the coin hoppers directly or by dropping the coins required into the coin input
funnel
(cf. Chap. "8.1 Filling the coin hoppers", p. 31)
For an easy integration of the CLS CPI Buxtehude provides two software kits
(
:
• CLS API (Application Programming Interface) for an easy high-level integration
• CLS Example Software Development Kit for customers wanting more control
on their own
For easy service work as the refilling of coin hoppers we recommend you to
provide the CLS installation site with an overview of the hopper-coin assignment
(2c coins in red-marked hopper, 10c coins in yellow-marked hopper, 5c coins in
orange hopper for instance, cp. overview "CLS Payout Configuration").
