1.  Check if the faucet is closed. 

2.  Use the cap opener to open the regeneration tank cap as shown on the pictures below.

3. Take out the contaminated filter and insert the new composite filter.

4.  Close the filter tank cap by turning it clockwise all the way using the cap opener and then close  

the top cover.
