d. Store electrical hand tools that are not being used out of children’s reach.
Do not let people unfamiliar with the electrical hand tool or its instructions
use it. Electrical hand tools can be dangerous if they get into the hands of
inexperienced users.
e. Inspect electrical hand tools regularly. Check that all settings are correct, that
no moving parts are getting jammed, that no parts are broken and for other
reasons that might cause the electrical hand tool to malfunction. If something is
damaged it must be repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly
maintained electrical hand tools.
f. Keep the tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp
blades are less likely to jam and are easier to control.
g. Use the electrical hand tool, accessories and such according to the instructions
and in a way suitable for the type of electrical hand tool used. Using the
electrical hand tool for work other than that for which it is intended could result in
a dangerous situation.
5) Service
a. Repairs and service should only be performed by qualified persons, and only with
original spare parts. This guarantees the safety of the electrical hand tool.
Safety Warnings Common for Polishing Machines
a) This power tool is intended to function as a polisher. Read all safety warnings,
instructions, illustrations and specifications provided with this power tool.
Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in electric shock, fire
and/or serious injury.
b) Operations such as grinding, sanding, wire brushing, or cutting-off are not
recommended to be performed with this power tool. Operations for which the
power tool was not designed may create a hazard and cause personal injury.
c) Do not use accessories which are not specifically designed and recommended
by the tool manufacturer. Just because the accessory can be attached to your
power tool, it does not assure safe operation.
d) The rated speed of the accessory must be at least equal to the maximum speed
marked on the power tool. Accessories running faster than their rated speed can
break and fly apart.
e) The outside diameter and the thickness of your accessory must be within the
capacity rating of your power tool. Incorrectly sized accessories cannot be
adequately guarded or controlled.
f) The arbour size of wheels, flanges, backing pads or any other accessory must
properly fit the spindle of the power tool. Accessories with arbour shanks that
do not match the mounting hardware of the power tool will run out of balance,
vibrate excessively and may cause loss of control.
