Safety
General requirements for household electrical appliances
• If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service
agent or similar qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and
knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of
the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
• Children shall not play with the appliance.
• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
Particular requirements for room heaters
• Never use the appliance in the immediate vicinity of bathtubs, showers or
swimming pools.
• The appliance must never be placed directly beneath a wall socket.
• The appliance must not be controlled by any timer, remote control or any form of
automatic control due to the risk of fire if the appliance is covered or positioned incorrectly.
• The appliance has no thermostat to regulate the room temperature. Do not use
the appliance in confined areas or rooms where persons who are unable to leave
the room without assistance are located.
• Do not locate the appliance where there is a risk of it igniting curtains or similar
combustible material.
• Appliances designed to be installed in a high location should be mounted at least
1.8 m above the floor.
• Children of less than 3 years should be kept away unless continuously supervised.
• Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall only switch on/off
the appliance provided that it has been placed or installed in its intended normal
operating position and they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children
aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall not plug in, regulate and clean
the appliance or perform user maintenance.
