Step 4: 

remove black tape at base and slide internal mesh over the connector. be sure to 
remove by pushing mesh from bottom of grip, not pulling from top (Figure 7).

CAUTION: 

Do not attempt to remove 

the black mesh by pulling from the end of 
the loop. the mesh will tighten on the Sc 
connector and may damage the connector 
or pull it completely off the drop cable.

Step 5: 

remove the plastic bag from 
around the connector before 
mating (Figure 8).

Step 6: 

Access the ONt.

Step 7: 

Inspect and clean each adapter 
and connector per standard 
company practices before 
mating.

Step 8: 

Secure and route the internal 
cable into the ONt as per 
the ONt manufacturer’s 
recommendations.
