Remove power from the Viper unit.
Locate the 8-pin socket on the User Interface board.
Note that the notch on the socket indicates the
direction the language chip should be installed.
Locate the black bar on the label of the language chip;
it is near the small notch in the chip.
Gently insert the new language chip into the socket,
making sure that all the pins on the chip are aligned
with the holes in the socket and the black bar on the
chip label lines up with the notch in the socket.
Now gently apply finger pressure until the chip settles
firmly and completely into the socket. Be careful not to
damage the circuit board.
