Instructions for Use

POWER SUPPLY 

 

AC POWER OPERATION: 

Connect the AC Power Cord to your AC household mains socket and switch on 
the mains supply. Make sure the voltage is compatible. 
 

BATTERY OPERATION: 

1. 

Remove mains lead from the unit for battery operation. 

2. 

Open the Battery Compartment at the back of the radio and insert four 
AA batteries (not included) following the polarity diagram shown inside 
the battery compartment. 

3. 

Batteries should be removed from the compartment if the unit is not to 
be used for some time. 

4. 

Flat batteries should be removed from the unit to avoid leakage. 

 
RADIO OPERATION: 

1. 

Press the Power ON/OFF Button (5) to switch the unit on. 

2. 

Choose between radio wave band AM, FM, LW BAND button (13) or SW 
using BAND Button (12). 

3. 

Search for the station of your choice using the Tuning Knob (4). 

4. 

To switch off the radio, press the Power button (5) to OFF. 

 

AERIAL: 

For FM reception there is a built-in telescopic FM aerial (18) at the rear of the 
unit. Extend the aerial and move it around to obtain the best reception. 
For AM / LW / SW reception the signals are picked up through a built-in ferrite 
aerial. You may have to adjust the position of the unit to obtain the best 
reception. 

 

STORE RADIO STATIONS MANUALLY: 

This unit can store 104 stations in total (8x FM, 8x AM, 8x LW and 80 SW). 

1. 

Tune into the desired station as explained above 

2. 

Press the SET button (3) to enter preset mode 

3. 

A “CH” icon flashes in the display 

4. 

Press the M+ or M- buttons (8 or 9) to choose a preset number, from 1 to 
8. 

5. 

Press the SET button (3) to confirm the memory setting.
