You can store the cutter inserts you are not currently using in the storage compartment
Underneath the spiral machine:

To ensure that the fruit and veg are held secure in the spiral machine you need to make both ends of
the fruit or veg flat, do this carefully using a kitchen knife:

Secure the fruit or vegetable in between the round spikey plastic head and the stainless steel blade
opposite:

Put a container underneath the end of the spiral machine where the cutting blade is. Then wind the
handle clock wise with gentle pressure to spiral your food:
