CARE OF CDs AND CD DRIVES

CD drives are delicate precision engineered assemblies
which should be handled with care. Ensure that during use
the equipment is operated or supervised by an adult.

Our warranty does not cover damage through misuse. This
includes forcing the drawer closed with a CD in the tray
after turning the mains power off!

We receive many units for repair that work
perfectly well. Often we find the CDs
to be dirty or scratched - problems
not covered by our warranty.
We reluctantly charge for
collecting and examining
equipment that is not faulty.

If a CD skips or will not play, please check
the following before contacting us for advice or repair:-

that the CD is not scratched

that the CD is not covered in finger prints, dust, hair or
greasy / sticky substances, or

that the CD has not been inserted upside down.
