GENERAL
General
A fire detection system is provided for each
engine and the APU. Each detection system
consists of two detector loops mounted
parallel to each other.
With the loop switch set to BOTH, only one
loop needs to detect a fire or overheat
condition to activate the fire warning
system.
Fire Warning System
The fire warning for an engine fire consists of
the following lights and warning sounds:
•
A red ENG FIRE light located in the
fire handle on the upper main
instrument panel.
•
The MASTER CAUTION light on the
glareshield.
•
Aural warnings (fire bell and vocal)
from the central aural warning
system.
