Starting the air conditioner

Step 1:

Ensure the cooler is plugged in at

the wall power outlet and is switched on.

Step 2:

Press the POWER button on the

control panel or remote control (Fig. 8 &

9).

Mode selection

Step 3:

Press the MODE button on the

control panel or the remote control to

select the desired operating mode.

•  Cool mode

 - refrigerated cooling

•  Dry mode

 - for extracting moisture

from the air.

•  Fan mode

 - fan only operation.

•  Auto mode

- automatically selects

either cool or fan modes based on

current room conditions.

Step 4:

 Press the UP and DOWN

buttons on the remote control to select

the desired room temperature in 1°C

increments. The set temperature range is

17°C - 30°C. Cooling will only occur if the

set temperature is less than the ambient

room temperature.

Note!

Do not set the cooling temperature

too low as this will consume more

power. 24°C is the recommended set

temperature.

Step 5:

Press the FAN button on the

control panel or the remote control to

adjust the fan speeds.

Note!

In cooling mode the fan will

continue to operate even if the

compressor has turned off.

Sleep mode

Step 6:

Press the SLEEP button to

activate sleep mode. During sleep mode

the set temperature will increase 1°C

every 30 minutes for 1 hour, after which

the new temperature will be maintained

for 7 hours. The cooler will then revert to

its original setting.

Sleep mode can only be used in Cool

mode and will be cancelled if the mode is

changed, the cooler goes into stand-by or

the water full alert occurs.

Timer Function

The air conditioner is fitted with a timer

function, which allows the automatic start

(timer on) or shut-down (timer off) of the

air conditioner after a set period of time.

Step 7:

Press the TIMER button (Fig. 8

& 9) to cycle between timer on and timer

off, with the indicator lights showing the

mode selected. Use the UP and DOWN

buttons to set the time to shut down or

start up. Timer range is 0 - 24 hours.

After 3 seconds the display will revert to

showing the set temperature. The timer

has been set.

To cancel the timer, set the timer to

00

using the control panel or remote control

or turn the air conditioner on or off.

Important!

 During cooling mode, water

will collect in the air conditioner’s tank.

This water is re-circulated, with some

being exhausted out with the hot air, but

will slowly fill up the tank. This occurs

more quickly in humid conditions. If the

tank should fill, the air conditioner will

shut down and display the water full error

code (see Troubleshooting). The cooler

cannot be restarted until the water tank is

drained. Refer to the Maintenance section

for draining the tank should this occur.
