5  Operation

 WARNING!

Risk of fire and electric shock!

Handling the charger incorrectly poses a risk of 
fire or electric shock.

Only use the charger to charge the corre-
sponding original CeBS battery.

Do not leave the battery and charger unat-
tended while charging.

» 

Never use a damaged charger.

5.1  PrnptrtntCo: Ioypncntog/

1.  Inspect the charger and the mains/charging 

cables (incl. plugs) for damage. Only use the 
charger when in perfect condition.

2.  Insert the device plug

 on the mains cable 

into the connector

 on the charger.

3.  Insert the mains plug on the charger into a 

professionally installed power socket.

NOTE:

 The ambient temperature and the temper-

ature of the battery must not fall below 2 °C or 
43 °C during charging. The ideal ambient 
temperature during charging is between 10 and 
25 °C.

»  Connect the battery to the charger to start the 

charging process (

see document BATTERY).

5.2.2  MCotnCrtog nhn chtrgtog prCcnyy

NOTE:

 The 48 V charger 13 S 165 W DCW does not 

have a status LED. You can monitor the charging 
process directly on the battery or display once 
the battery in the eBike starts charging (

see docu-

ment BATTERY).
The 48 V charger 12 S 165 W has a status LED. The 
LED is located on top of the charger and start indi-
cating the relevant status of the charger when the 
charger is connected to the power supply.

5.2.3  Afnnr chtrgtog

1.  Disconnect the battery from the charger 

(

see document BATTERY).

2.  Pull the plug on the charger from the power 

socket to disconnect the charger from the 
power supply.

5.2.4  Wtonnr eCdn Cf nhn chtrgnr

The battery can be connected to the charger and 
placed in storage. To protect the battery from 
deep discharge, the charger detects when the 
battery reaches a low charge level and charges 
the battery steadily to its optimum residual 
capacity to maintain maximum durability and 
efficiency.
