5.3.2 Battery modes
The battery automatically adjusts to match the activity of the Continental eBike System through
the battery management system. 3 battery modes ensure a constant power supply and effective
use of the battery’s capacity.
Description
Meaning
Active mode
The battery is in Active mode when the CeBS is turned on or the charger
is connected.
Standby mode
The CeBS automatically turns off after the standby time in the display has
expired. The battery switches to Standby mode, which reduces the CeBS’
energy consumption. The battery automatically turns back on when the
CeBS is turned on or the charger is connected.
Deep sleep mode
After 1 hour of inactivity, the CeBS automatically switches to Deep sleep
mode. The battery deactivates the power supply to the CeBS. This allows
the battery to survive extended breaks between charges and protects it
from total discharge. The battery automatically turns back on when the
CeBS is turned on or the charger is connected.
