Scanner operation problems
Problem
Possible causes and remedy
Error message: Paper jam
Scanner stops scanning and the paper-ready LED goes out (stops blinking) when document still in drive system. Software
displays
‘Paper Jam Error’.
•
Press and hold down the Paper-Backwards or the Paper-Forward key to eject the document from the scanner
•
If the document cannot be ejected using the keypad remove it after opening the scanner lid (see lid open instructions)
•
Release and hold the lid open. Now gently remove the jammed document from the scanner
•
Close the scanner lid
•
When the scanner is ready, reload the document again to resume scanning
If the paper jams again, repeat the steps above. Select soft-handling in the software before rescanning
