Replacing Scanner Parts
This section describes how to replace scanner parts that are liable to wear down over long-term use. Changing parts will renew your scanner and reestablish
optimal results. WIDEsystem monitors scanner usage and will warn you when it is time for a replacement.
The following parts can be replaced:
1. The White Pressure/background platen
2. The dust filters.

WIDEsystem WARNING FLAG -
White background platen replacement:
After receiving a warning by WIDEsystem and replacing the
part, be sure to reset the part replacement warning flag through WIDEsystem’s “Status” tab.

RECALIBRATION

White background platen:
Replacing this part will change conditions in the scan area. Therefore, it is
recommended to recalibrate right after changing the White background platen and cleaning the glass. Start WIDEsystem and select
Calibrate
.
Important Safety Instruction
: Before replacing any parts, be sure to turn the scanner power off and disconnect the power plug.
