9. Commissioning
a) Inserting Batteries in the Outdoor Sensor
• Open the battery compartment on the back of the outdoor sensor by turning out the
attachment screw of the battery compartment lid.
• Insert two type AAA/Micro batteries in the battery compartment in the correct polarity
(observe plus/+ and minus/-).
• Close the battery compartment lid again.
b) Inserting the Batteries into the Weather Station
• Open the battery compartment on the rear of the weather station and insert 3 type AA/mignon
batteries into with correct polarity (observe plus/+ and minus/-).
• Close the battery compartment again.
• The weather station display briefly shows all display segments and the display lighting will
be activated briefly.
Then the weather station searches for the outdoor sensor and the display shows
“SENSOR: “.
The sensor search takes about 3 minutes; do not move the weather station and the
outdoor sensor during this period and do not push any button.
• After completion of the sensor search, the weather station will start a reception attempt for
the DCF signal; the radio tower symbol “
” flashes in the top left of the display.
The search for the DCF signal and assessment of the signal may take up to 10
minutes; do not move the weather station during this time and do not push any button.
If no DCF signal is recognised within 1 minute, the weather station interrupts the DCF
search and will restart it after 2 hours.
If you want to restart the DCF signal search manually, remove the batteries from the
weather station. Wait for 10 seconds and re-insert them.
