Maintenance & Disposal
Maintenance
Check the set for technical safety, i.e. damage to the casing, the mains cable, etc. at
regular intervals.
If there is room to believe that safe operation has become impossible put the set out
of operation and secure it against any unintended operation. Safe operation must be
presumed to be no longer possible, if
• the set exhibits visible damage
• the set does not operate any longer
• the set was stored under unfavourable conditions for a long period of time or
• the set was exposed to extraordinary stress caused by transport.
Before cleaning or maintaining the set do not fail to note the safety instructions
which follow:
Withdraw the mains plug from the mains socket.
A repair should be made solely by an expert electrician who is
conversant with the hazards involved and the relevant regulati-
ons.
The set needs no maintenance. Therefore, never open it. Opening the set will invali-
date any guarantee.
Clean the exterior of the system only with a soft, dry cloth or brush. Never use
aggressive cleansing agents or solvents since this might damage the housing surfa-
ce or impair the operation of the set.
Disposal
Dispose of the set, which has become unusable, while observing the legal provisions
in force.
Instruction for environmental protection:
The law (the provision on exhausted batteries) obliges the end user to
return all used batteries and accumulators (from button cells to lead
accumulators); any disposal thereof via the domestic waste is prohibi-
ted.
You may return your exhausted batteries and accumulators on a free-
of-charge basis to both our branch companies and our central com-
pany based at Hirschau and the municipal disposal facilities (waste
collection yards) which are also obliged to accept them as before. Do
make your contribution to environmental protection.
