Getting Started and Operation
• In order to place the notebook on the front somewhat higher, two spacers are provided in the
package; they are clipped in place on the underside of the cooling pad.
On the front of the cooling pad, there are four small screw threads; the two spacers can be
screwed into place here.
Depending on the size or the shape of the notebook, use either the two outside or
the two inside threads for the spacers.
The spacers not only allow more air to pass under the notebook but also allow you to select
the position of the keyboard (or the height of the keyboard) more ergonomically.
• Place the cooling pad on a
fl
at, stable and suf
fi
ciently large surface. Using the folding mecha-
nism on the underside, the surface of the cooling pad can be set at various angles.
• Place the notebook on the cooling pad; check whether the notebook and the cooling pad
stand securely and cannot tip over.
• Connect the low-voltage round socket on the back with the included USB power cable to a
suitable power source (e.g. to a USB port of the notebook or the USB port of a USB hub with
its own power supply).
You can also, for example, use a USB power socket of an appropriate wall plug
transformer or something similar that can supply the required output current (see
chapter “Technical Data”).
• The fan can be switched on or off using the sliding switch that is directly beside the low-
voltage socket of the cooling pad.
• The fan speed can be selected in two stages with the round pressure switch (“TURBO ON” =
high fan speed, “TURBO OFF” = normal fan speed).
Maintenance and Cleaning
First, disconnect the cooling pad from the power supply; unplug the low-voltage round plug
from the socket on the cooling pad.
Maintenance or repair may be performed only by quali
fi
ed personnel or a specialised repair
shop. The product contains no parts that require servicing. Therefore, do not open/dismantle it.
Use a clean, dry, soft cloth for cleaning. Do not apply too much pressure on the housing; this
could result in scratch marks.
Dust can easily be removed using a soft, clean, long-bristle brush and a vacuum cleaner.
Do not use abrasive cleaning agents, cleaning alcohol or other chemical solutions,
since these could damage the housing or even impair operation.
Disposal
Dispose of the product at the end of its serviceable life in accordance with the
current statutory requirements; e. g. return it to any suitable collection point.
