• Live components may be exposed if covers are opened or parts are removed (unless these
parts are intended to be removed without tools). Connection points may also be live. If the
device needs to be opened for calibration, servicing, repair or replacement of parts or com-
ponents, it must be disconnected from all voltage sources first. Any necessary servicing or
repair on the open device must be carried out by a specialist who is familiar with the risks
involved and the relevant regulations.
• Capacitors in the device may still be charged even after it has been disconnected from all
power sources.
• When installing/mounting the device, make sure that the connection cables are neither
pinched nor damaged by sharp edges.
• Disconnect the power supply if the camera is not used for a long period of time.
• Disconnect the power supply before cleaning the camera.
• For safety reasons, disconnect the power supply in case of a thunder storm.
• Never replace damaged connections yourself. If necessary, disconnect the device from
the mains and take it to a specialist workshop.
• Never pour liquids on electrical devices. This poses a serious risk of fire or electric
shock. If such a case does occur, disconnect the wall power supply from the mains sock-
et immediately and consult an expert.
• Maintenance, adjustment and repairs may only be carried out by a qualified specialist or
a specialised repair shop.
