Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Der Ventilantrieb dient zum Verstellen von Ventilen an Heizkörpern. Er erhält alleine oder
gemeinsam mit weiteren Ventilantrieben über Funk Befehle von der zugehörigen Regeleinheit.
Diese Befehle setzt der Ventilantrieb in entsprechende Stellwerte am Ventil um. Das
Gesamtsystem dient so zur Temperaturregelung in Einzelräumen, in denen die Regulierung
der über Heizkörper abgegebenen Wärme durch die Drosselung des Heizwasserflusses erfolgt.
Der Ventilantrieb darf nicht für andere, hiervon abweichende Zwecke verwendet werden. Der
Betrieb ist nur mit der zugehörigen Regeleinheit möglich (alle das Gesamtsystem betreffenden
Informationen sind der Anleitung des Komplettsets zu entnehmen).
Montage und Inbetriebnahme
• Entfernen Sie den alten, mechanischen Thermostaten. Bei fest sit-
zenden Verschraubungen hierfür ggf. eine Wasserpumpenzange ver-
wenden.
• Entfernen Sie den Batteriefachdeckel des Ventilantriebes durch
Schieben nach unten.
• Setzen Sie die Batterien in das Batteriefach im Ventilantrieb ein.
Achtung: Bitte unbedingt die dargestellte Polarität beachten, da die
Elektronik sonst evtl. zerstört wird.
• Das Display zeigt "C1” und anschließend eine 2stellige Zahl, daraufhin "C2” und erneut eine
2stellige Zahl (die beiden Zahlen sind der aktuell gespeicherte Code des Ventilantriebes).
• Im Anschluss folgt ein Signalton sowie die Anzeige "A1”.
• Der Ventilantrieb fährt jetzt den Steuerstift ganz zurück, um die Montage zu erleichtern.
• Anschließend erscheint in der Anzeige "A2”.
• Schrauben Sie den Ventilantrieb durch Drehen der Überwurfmutter von
Hand fest auf das Ventil (1).
• Bei Danfoss-Ventilen muss zuvor einer der beiliegenden Adapter auf-
gesetzt werden (s. hierzu die Bedienungsanleitung des Komplett-
sets).
• Betätigen Sie die Taste am Ventilantrieb 1 Mal kurz (2).
• Das Display zeigt "A3” und der Ventilantrieb schließt das Ventil.
• Anschließend blinkt das Antennensymbol im Display und das Display
zeigt "0%” an.
• Übertragen Sie den Sicherheitscode gemäß "Sicherheitscode übertragen”, siehe unten. Ggf.
ist gemäß Bedienungsanleitung des Komplettsets unter "no H” die Anzahl der Heizungen
einzustellen.
Hinweis:
Ventilantriebe, die Teil eines Sets sind, wurden werkseitig bereits mit der Regeleinheit sych-
ronisiert (Sicherheitscode)!
Sicherheitscode übertragen
Zum Übertragen des Sicherheitscodes gehen Sie wie folgt vor:
• Betätigen Sie die Taste am ersten zu synchronisierenden Ventilantrieb länger als 3
Sekunden.
• Es folgt ein Signalton, das Display zeigt "AC” und das Antennensymbol blinkt.
• Jetzt ist von der Regeleinheit der Sicherheitscode zu übermitteln. Siehe dazu die
Bedienungsanleitung der Regeleinheit.
• Der Ventilantrieb bestätigt den korrekten Empfang mit einer Tonfolge.
• Das Display zeigt "0%” und das Antennensymbol blinkt.
• Das erste empfangene Funksignal wird mit einem Signalton bestätigt und das
Antennensymbol ist dauerhaft aktiv.
• Setzen Sie den Batteriefachdeckel auf.
Notbetrieb des Ventils
Sollte es aufgrund eines nicht behebbaren Fehlers nötig sein, das Ventil von Hand zu verstel-
len bzw. zu betreiben, ist dies wie folgt möglich:
• Batteriefachdeckel entfernen
• Entfernen Sie beide Batterien.
• Entnehmen Sie den Verstellstift durch Drücken auf die mit (1) gekenn-
zeichnete Stelle.
• Setzten Sie den Verstellstift auf den mit (2) gekennzeichneten Zapfen
• Drehen Sie den Verstellstift: Im Uhrzeigersinn = wärmer, gegen den
Uhrzeigersinn = kälter

Fehlermeldungen
Vom normalen Betriebsmodus abweichende Zustände signalisiert der Ventilantrieb durch
Fehlermeldungen (akustisch und per Display). Die nachfolgende Tabelle gibt Auskunft über die
Bedeutung der Fehlermeldungen und gibt Hinweise zur Behebung des Problems:

Sind die Batterien des Ventilantriebes erschöpft, gibt dieser eine Stunde lang etwa alle
2 Minuten eine Tonfolge ab und das Low-Bat-Symbol erscheint im Display. Dies wird 3-mal
am Tag wiederholt.
• Entfernen Sie den Batteriefachdeckel des Ventilantriebes durch Schieben nach unten.
• Entfernen Sie die erschöpften Batterien.
Achtung: Verbrauchte Batterien gehören nicht in den Hausmüll, sondern können kostenlos
in den örtlichen Batteriesammelstellen abgegeben werden.
• Warten Sie, bis alle Segmente des Displays erloschen sind. Dies lässt sich durch Betätigen
und Halten der Taste am Ventilantrieb beschleunigen.
• Setzen Sie neue Batterien in das Batteriefach ein. Achtung: Bitte unbedingt die dargestellte
Polarität beachten, da die Elektronik sonst evtl. zerstört wird.
• Das Display zeigt "C1” und anschließend eine 2stellige Zahl, daraufhin "C2” und erneut eine
2stellige Zahl (die beiden Zahlen sind der aktuell gespeicherte Code des Ventilantriebes).
• Im Anschluss folgt ein Signalton sowie die Anzeige "A1”.
• Der Ventilantrieb fährt jetzt den Steuerstift ganz zurück.
• Anschließend erscheint in der Anzeige "A2”.
• Betätigen Sie die Taste am Ventilantrieb 1 Mal kurz (2).
• Das Display zeigt "A3” und der Ventilantrieb fährt das Ventil vollständig zu.
• Anschließend blinkt das Antennensymbol im Display und das Display zeigt "0%” an.
• Setzen Sie den Batteriefachdeckel auf.
• Das erste empfangene Funksignal wird mit einem Signalton bestätigt und das
Antennensymbol ist dauerhaft aktiv.

Intended Use
The valve drive serves for adjusting valves on radiators. It receives commands via radio signal
from the pertaining control unit, either alone or together with other valve drives. The valve drive
converts these commands in the corresponding settings on the valve. The radio controlled
radiator thermostat system serves for controlling the temperature in individual rooms.
Regulation of the heat transmitted by the radiator takes place by reducing the flow of the heat-
ing water. The valve drive may not be used for any other purposes than the ones stated in this
operating manual. Operation is only possible with the pertaining control unit (all information
relating to the overall system are contained in the operating manual of the complete system).
Installation and Commissioning
• Remove the old mechanical thermostat. In case of tight screws, use
a pair of plumber's pliers.
• Remove the battery compartment lid of the valve drive by sliding it
downwards.
• Insert the batteries in the battery compartment of the valve drive.
Attention! Please make sure you observe the correct polarity, other-
wise the electronics might be destroyed.
• The display shows "C1" and afterwards a double-digit figure, then "C2" and another dou-
ble-digit figure (these two figures are the currently stored 2-digit security code of the valve
drive).
• Then a signal tone sounds and the display "A1" appears.
• Now the valve drive retracts the control pin all the way to ease installation.
• The display "A2" appears.
• Screw the valve drive tightly onto the valve manually by turning the
cap nut (1).
• In case of valves made by Danfoss, you first have to put on one of the
supplied adaptors (see the operating manual for the complete system).
• Briefly push the button on the valve drive once (2).
• The display shows "A3" and the valve drive closes the valve.
• Afterwards the antenna symbol blinks on the display and the display
shows "0%".
• Now transmit the security code according to the instructions in the
chapter "Transmitting the Security Code", see below. If necessary, set the number of radia-
tors as described in chapter "no H" in the operating manual for the complete system.
Notice:
Valve drives that are part of a set were already synchronized with the control unit in the factory
(security code)!
Transmitting the Security Code
Proceed as follows to transmit the security code:
• Press the button on the valve drive to be synchronized for more than 3 seconds.
• A signal sounds, the display shows "AC" and the antenna symbol blinks.
• Now the control unit has to transmit the security code. Refer to the operating manual for the
control unit.
• The valve drive acknowledges the correct receipt of the code with a tone sequence.
• The display shows "0%" and the antenna symbol blinks.
• The first radio signal received is acknowledged with a signal tone and the antenna symbol is
permanently active.
• Replace the battery compartment lid.
Valve Emergency Operation
In case of an error that cannot be remedied, the valve can be adjusted respectively operated
by hand as follows:
• Remove the battery compartment cover.
• Remove both batteries.
• Remove the adjuster pin by pressing on the spot marked with (1).
• Put the adjuster pin onto the peg marked with (2).
• Turn the adjuster pin. clockwise = warmer or counter-clockwise = col-
der.

Troubleshooting
The valve drive signals conditions that deviate from the normal operating mode by means of
error messages (acoustic and via the display). The following table provides information about
the meaning of error messages and gives instructions for the remedy of the problem.

Changing the Battery
If the batteries of the valve drive are spent, the drive emits a sound sequence every two min-
utes for one hour and the "LOW BAT" symbol appears on the display. This is repeated 3 times
a day.
• Remove the battery compartment lid of the valve drive by sliding it downwards.
• Remove the spent batteries.
Attention! Spend batteries do not belong in the household waste but can be disposed of free
of charge at your local battery collection points.
• Wait until all segments on the display have disappeared. You can speed this up by pressing
and holding the button on the valve drive.
• Insert new batteries in the battery compartment. Attention! Please make sure you observe
the correct polarity, otherwise the electronics might be destroyed.
• The display shows "C1" and afterwards a double-digit figure, then "C2" and another dou-
ble-digit figure (these two figures are the currently stored 2-digit security code of the valve
drive).
• Then a signal tone sounds and the display "A1" appears.
• Now the valve drive completely retracts the control pin.
• Now the display "A2" appears.
• Press the button on the valve drive once briefly (2).
• The display shows "A3" and the valve drive closes the valve completely.
• Afterwards the antenna symbol blinks on the display and the display shows "0%".
• Replace the battery compartment lid.
• The first radio signal received is acknowledged with a signal tone and the antenna symbol is
permanently active.
