Intended use
The radio-controlled switch socket is used for the connection of an electrical consumer load. The radio-
controlled remote control is used to switch the radio-controlled switch socket on and off, thereby switching
the electrical consumer-load connected to it on and off.
The product may only be used in enclosed indoor locations. Outdoor use is not allowed. Contact with mois-
ture, for example in bathrooms or the like, must be avoided.
For safety and approval reasons (CE), you may not convert and/or alter the product. If you use the product
for purposes other than those described above, the product may be damaged. Furthermore, improper use
may cause risks such as short-circuits, fire, electric shocks etc. Please read the operating instructions care

fully and do not discard them. If you pass the product on to a third party, please hand over these operating
instructions as well.

Safety instructions
Please read the operating instructions carefully and pay particular attention to the safety
instructions. We do not assume liability for injuries/material damages resulting from fail-
ure to observe the safety instructions and the information in these operating instructions
regarding the proper handling of the product. Furthermore, in such cases, the warranty/
guarantee will be null and void.
a) Persons / product
• Do not use the product in hospitals or medical institutions. Although the product only emits
relatively weak radio signals, these may lead to the malfunction of life-support systems. The
same may also apply to other zones.
• To supply voltage to the radio-controlled switch socket(s), only use a proper mains socket from
the public grid.
• The socket-outlet shall be installed near the equipment and shall be easily accessible.
• The product is not a toy and does not belong in the hands of children. Therefore, be especially
careful when children are around. Children might try to push objects through the openings o f
the radio-controlled switch socket’. There is danger of a life-threatening electric shock!
• Never touch the product when your hands are wet or damp. There is danger of a life-threaten-
ing electric shock!
• Do not connect the radio-controlled switch sockets in series.
• The radio-controlled switch socket is de-energised only when it has been disconnected from
the mains socket.
• Do not overload the radio-controlled switch socket. To this end, please pay attention to the
approved connection information in the technical data.
• If the product casing is damaged, discontinue product usage! Do not touch the radio-con-
trolled switch socket or the connected device while it is still connected to the mains voltage.!
First, switch off the mains socket to which the radio-controlled switch socket is connected
(switch off at the circuit breaker or the ELCB). Only then can you remove the radio-controlled
switch socket from the mains socket. Take the product to a specialist workshop or dispose of
it in an environmentally friendly way.
• Always disconnect the radio-controlled switch socket from the mains socket if the device is not
going to be used for a while.
• For safety reasons, always disconnect the radio-controlled switch socket from the mains
socket during a thunderstorm.
• Never use the product immediately after it has been taken from a cold room to a warm one.
The condensation that forms might damage the product. There is a risk of a life-threatening
electric shock! Allow the product to reach room temperature before connecting it to the power
supply and putting it to use. This may take several hours.
• Never pour liquids over electrical devices and never place objects filled with liquid on top of or
next to them.
• Avoid operating and storing the product in close proximity to magnetic fields, e.g. close to
machines or loudspeakers.
• Do not leave packaging material carelessly lying around . It may become a dangerous play-
thing for children.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong vibrations, high humid-
ity, moisture, combustible gases, vapours and solvents.
• Never expose the product to mechanical stress.
• If safe operation is no longer possible, stop using the product and secure it against unintended
use. Safe operation is no longer possible,if the product:
- has visible damages
- no longer functions properly,
- has been stored under adverse ambient conditions for an extended period of time or
- has been exposed to considerable strain during transport.
• Handle the product with care. The product can be damaged if crushed, struck or dropped,
even from a low height.
• Also observe the safety and operating instructions of any other devices that are connected to
this product.
b) Batteries
• Make sure that the polarity is correct when inserting the battery.
• Remove the battery if you are not going to use the device for a while, to prevent damage
caused by leaking. Leaking or damaged batteries can cause acid burns upon contact with the
skin. Therefore, you should wear protective gloves when handling damaged batteries.

Keep the batteries/rechargeable batteries out of the reach of children. Do not leave batteries
lying around. There is a risk that the batteries may be swallowed by children or pets.
• Do not dismantle batteries, do not short-circuit them or throw them into a fire. Never charge
conventional, non-rechargeable batteries. There is a risk of explosion!
c) Other
• If you have doubts about how the product should be operated, or about safety or the connec-
tion, consult an expert.
• Maintenance, adjustment and repair work may only be carried out by an expert or a specialist
workshop.
• If you have any questions,that are not answered in these operating instructions, please con-
tact our technical customer service or another specialist.

Inserting/replacing batteries (remote control)
1. Remove the battery compartment cover (3) on the back of the remote control.
2. Insert a new coin cell of type CR2032 into the battery compartment. The plus pole has to point upwards
(see imprint “+” on the coin cell). Slide the coin cell into the battery holder until it reaches the end.
3. Close the battery compartment.
The battery needs to be replaced if the range of the remote control is significantly reduced or the
control lamp (4) no longer lights up when the keys are used.
Description of the keys (remote control)
• One of the four switch groups can be selected using the switch group selector switch (6). For each of
the four switch groups, three respective channels are available. Accordingly, the remote control features
twelve channels.
• The operating keys (5) are divided into two columns:
- Left column = ON (on)
- Right column = OFF (off)
• Using the three top keys of the left column, you can activate channels 1 to 3 individually.
• Using the three top keys of the right column, you can deactivate channels 1 to 3 individually.
• Using the key ALL ON at the bottom of the left column, you can activate channels 1 to 3 simultaneously.
• Using the key ALL OFF at the bottom of the right column, you can deactivate channels 1 to 3 simultane-
ously
The control lamp (4) lights up with every key stroke.
