5-Channel LED Running Light Module

Intended Use

The 5-channel running light module serves for generating decorative light effects via
LEDs.

This device may only be operated with batteries.

Use is only permitted in closed rooms, meaning not out in the open. The contact with
moisture has to be avoided at all costs.

Another use than the one described above leads to damages to the device and is
additionally tied to risks, e.g. short circuit, fire, etc. 

The entire device may not altered or modified.

The safety notices have to be observed under all circumstances!

Notice!

This appliance has left our factory in perfect safety condition.
In order to maintain this status and ensure safe operation, the user has to observe
the safety notices and warnings ("Attention!" and "Notice!") contained in this ope-
rating manual.

Safety Notices

Damages caused by non-compliance with this operating manual lead
to an expiration of the warranty! We will not assume any liability for
subsequent damages!
We will not assume any liability for damages to items or persons cau-
sed by improper handling or non-compliance with the safety notices!
Any guarantee claims will be null and void in such cases.

• For reasons of safety and licensing (CE) it is not allowed to alter respectively modi-

fy the product.

• When working with/on modules, it is prohibited to wear any metal or conductive

jewellery like neck chains, bracelets, rings or similar.

• Do not operate the modules in rooms with adverse ambient conditions or with gas-

ses, vapors or dusts.

• Modules, components or devices may only be put into operation of there are no

live parts protruding out of the casing. The power must be turned off during instal-
lation.

• Do not expose the module to heavy mechanical strain, high temperatures, strong

vibrations or moisture.

• The module does not belong into the hands of children. It is not a toy.

• Do not leave the packaging material lying around. Plastic foils and bags, polysty-

rene parts etc. are dangerous toys in the hands of children.

• In commercial institutions, make sure you observe the accident prevention regu-

lations of the commercial trade organization for electric installations. 

• In schools, training facilities, hobby and self-help workshops, qualified personnel

needs to supervise the operation of components. 

• Please contact an expert in case you have any doubts about the mode of opera-

tion, the safety or connecting the appliance. 

Commissioning and Operation

The module may only be put into operation after it was installed in a
casing without any live parts protruding from it.
In general, make sure the module is suited for the intended applica-
tion prior to installation.
In case of doubt, consult an expert or the manufacturer under all cir-
cumstances!

Inserting the Batteries

Batteries do not belong in the hands of children.
Observe the right polarity when inserting the batteries.
Do not leave batteries lying around. Pets or small children might
swallow them. If swallowed, contact a doctor immediately.
Leaking or damaged batteries may lead to injuries of the skin.
Therefore, use suitable protective gloves when changing them.
Make sure that you do not short-circuit the batteries. Do not throw
into fire. Do not recharge the batteries. Danger of explosion!

• Insert two new 1.5V micro-batteries (AAA) into the battery compartment and

observe the proper polarity. The correct polarity is indicated in the battery com-
partment.

• We recommend the use of alkaline batteries.

• After the batteries are inserted, the running light module is ready for operation.

Remove the batteries if you are not going to use the module for a longer period of
time to prevent leaks.

Operation

• Turn the module on with the slider.
• The different colored LEDs blink shortly one after the other and then go off again.
• In order to turn the module off, return the slider to the initial position.

Disposal

Dispose of the obsolete module according to the valid legal directives.

Disposal of spent batteries / accumulators

You are required by law to return all spent batteries. 

Disposing of spent batteries

in the household waste is prohibited!

Batteries / accumulators that contain hazardous substances are
marked with the symbols on the side. These symbols indicate that
it is prohibited to dispose of these batteries in the household waste.
The abbreviations for the respective heavy metal are:

Cd

= cad-

mium, 

Hg

= mercury, 

Pb

= lead. You can return spent batteries

respectively accumulator that can no longer be charged free of
charge to the collection points in your community, our outlets or
everywhere else where batteries or accumulators are sold.

You thus fulfill the legal requirements and contribute to the protection of our
environment!
