Vacuum cleaning tips for best results

Minimise mess creation – have a ‘NO shoes inside’ policy to avoid walking in dirt

and contaminants .

Pick up those small objects before you start. Don’t be tempted to suck up coins,

paper or similar-sized objects – the may block or damage the Vacuum.

Take your time. While your Conrad Meier Vacuum is very efficient, good

vacuuming practice takes time, so don’t rush things .

Dust other areas of your home before you vacuum . If you dust after, you will be

spreading dust over your freshly vacuumed floors.

Vacuuming in multiple directions helps loosen dirt and contaminants, and helps

carpets and rugs from appearing worn .

Make multiple passes over the surface . A single pass could leave embedded dirt

in your carpet .

Have a schedule. Once a week is sufficient for most rooms in your home. High-

traffic areas will need vacuuming more often. If you have pets that shed hair and

dander, daily vacuuming may be needed .

Choose the right attachment: Vacuum head for carpets, rugs and hard floors.

Upholstery Brush for furniture and mattresses . Crevice Tool for crevices and

hard-to-reach places .

Move your furniture . You don’t have to do this every time you vacuum . However,

on occasion, move couches and other furniture to vacuum underneath .

Each time you vacuum, start with an empty Dust Cup. Clean Filters every 3

months . Replace if necessary .

•  Do not pull or carry by the cord . Do not use the cord as a handle . Do not close a door

•  Do not put any item into openings . Do not use with any opening blocked . Keep

openings free of dust, lint, hair and any other material that may reduce airflow.

•

This vacuum cleaner creates suction. Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of

body away from openings and moving parts .

•

Before use, always clear the floor of larger objects too big for the vacuum cleaner such

as paper or food scraps .

ashes .

Do not use without dust cup and filters in place.

•  Do not use to suck up liquids .
•

Do not use to suck up flammable or combustible liquids such as gasoline, or use in

areas where they may be present .

•  Store your vacuum cleaner indoors in a cool, dry area .
