Use of Automatic Recording Function
Starting the car engine will start the rear view camera recording automatically
and will open up the recording function. This will be indicated by the video light
blinking and the illumination of the charge icon.
When the vehicle is turned off, the recorded video will be saved before the
device shuts down.
The video/images will be saved to the SD card. When the SD card is full, the
rear view mirror camera will record over earlier video stored on the SD card.
The length of recordings can be adjusted in the menu settings of the rear view
mirror camera and can be set for 2, 3, or 5 minute recording duration
NB: On the SD card, you will have a file labelled DCIM. Inside this folder, you will
have 2 sub-folders: DCIMA for front camera video/images, and DCIMB for rear
camera video.
Manual Recording Functions
To start the recording function, switch the rear view camera on using the power
button. This will automatically start the recording process, and will be indicated
by the recording timer. To shut down the camera, press the power button off
for 3 seconds. The video will be saved before shut down.
Using the Camera
To change to camera mode from video mode, press the mode button. To take
a picture, press the OK button. To return to video mode, press the mode button
twice. Please note that recording in video source can not be changed until
recording is stopped.
Collision Sensing
The rear view camera has a built-in sensor (G-Sensor) that will save the video
image if a collision occurs. The video will be locked as indicated by the lock
symbol on the rear view camera.
NB: A locked video image file will be labeled ‘LOCK’, whereas normal video
files will be labelled MOVI. The G-Sensor sensitivity can be adjusted in the set-up
menu
Key Lock Function
Images can be locked using a short press of the mode button. A lock symbol
will appear on the display. This lock will disappear when the rear view camera
is switched off.
