2. LED explanation
There are 2 LED indicators located on the Conceptronic 10/100 Mbps Fast Ethernet Cardbus
Card.
LED “
F
” indicates the Full/Half-Duplex status.
When LED “
F
” lights, it means that the Cardbus Card is connected to the network at Full-
Duplex mode, when LED “
F
” is not lit then the Cardbus Card is running at Half-Duplex.
LED “
L
” indicates the 10/100 Mbps Link/Act.
When LED “
L
” lights, it means the Cardbus Card connects to the network at 10/100 Mbps
speed. When LED “
L
” flashes, data is send or received through the Cardbus Card.
3. Hardware installation

Place the Conceptronic 10/100 Mbps Fast Ethernet Cardbus Card in the cardbus slot
of your notebook.

Connect one end of a UTP cable to the RJ45 Port of the network device (switch,
router, etc.), and connect the other end to the RJ45 Port of the Conceptronic 10/100
Mbps Fast Ethernet Cardbus Card.

Turn on your notebook.
4. Software installation
Windows 2000/XP/Vista Installation
The new hardware wizard will detect an Ethernet Controller and will automatically
install the standard Realtek RTL8139/810x Family Fast Ethernet NIC driver, which are
native present in Windows 2000, XP and Vista.
Your Conceptronic 10/100 Mbps Fast Ethernet Cardbus Card is now ready to use!
