Upgrade procedure
1.
Copying the firmware files to a USB storage device
1.1
If you have downloaded the firmware upgrade from www.conceptronic.net, you have a ZIP file
containing a folder named ‘
Firmware
’ and a documentation file for each language.
1.2
Connect the USB storage device to your computer.
1.3
Copy the file ‘
UPDATE.WUP
’ from the folder ‘
Firmware
’ to the USB storage device.
(for example: ‘
F:\UPDATE.WUP’
where
F:\
is your USB storage device).
Note: Do
NOT
put the firmware file in a folder on your USB storage device. The CMT2D must ‘see’ the
firmware file directly on the USB storage device.
For example: ‘
F:\UPDATE.WUP
’.
1.4
Remove the USB storage device from your computer. It is recommended to use the safe
remove/eject/unmount option of your operating system.
1.5
Disconnect the USB storage device from your computer.
2.
Upgrading the ‘UPDATE.WUP’ firmware
2.1
Connect the CMT2D to your TV and a free power wall outlet.
2.2
Connect the USB storage device to one of the USB host ports of the CMT2D.
2.3
The CMT2D will recognize the USB storage device and show the following message:
“
Warning: An update has been detected. Checking files. Please wait…
”
2.4
When above warning disappears, the following message will show the following message:
“
Do you want to install the update for Grab’n’GO Media Titan, (version 1.2.13.7870) ?
”
Select ‘
Update
’ and press the ‘
OK
’ button to start the firmware upgrade.
The upgrade will be installed. This can take up to 2 minutes. After the installation, the device will
reboot automatically.
2.5
When the reboot is finished, the message “
Update 1.2.13.7870” was successfully installed
” will
be shown. Press the ‘
OK
’ button to close the message.
Note: If the firmware upgrade is finished, the CMT2D will show the setup wizard in order to
reconfigure the device. After the reconfiguration, it is necessary to turn the device completely
off and on by disconnecting the powersupply, before you start using the device again.
Note: If the message ‘
You are already using a more recent firmware
’ is shown, this means you are
trying to upgrade with an older firmware, or the firmware on the USB storage device is already
installed on your CMT2D.
