TROUBLESHOOTING
The appliance may only be repaired and interfered with by a qualified professional or authorized service
centre. Improper repairs and interference with the appliance may pose a serious risk to you and your

Some minor defects that appear when using the gas hob can be removed by the user with the help of the
following overview.

The ignition electrode does not spark Make sure the power cord is correctly connected.
The burner cover is mounted

Verify correct mounting of the burner cover on the
flame spreader.
Closed gas inlet
Open the gas inlet or check the gas pipe (hose) for
any deformation.
The burner is
burning poorly
The gas inlet is not open completely Open the gas supply completely.
The burner cover is mounted
incorrectly
Verify correct mounting of the burner cover on the
flame spreader.
Dirty ignition electrode
Clean the ignition electrode with a soft sponge.
The burner covers are wet
Dry the burner covers.
The holes in the flame spreader are
clogged
Clean the flame spreader.
The burner
can be ignited
but goes out
immediately
You have not held the knob of
the respective burner pressed
sufficiently long
Ignition of the burner occurs only if you hold
the burner knob in the maximum position. After
igniting the burner, hold the pressed burner knob
for about 15 seconds. Release the pressed knob.
Noise when the
burner is ignited
and burning
The burner cover is mounted

Verify correct mounting of the burner cover on the
flame spreader.
A burner goes

Dirty thermoelectric cell
Clean the thermoelectric cell with a soft sponge.

Turn the burner knob to the OFF position. Wait
one minute and reignite the burner.
There is too much draft in the room
Turn the burner knob to the OFF position. Make
sure there is not too much draft in the room. Wait
one minute and reignite the burner.
Yellow flame

Stop using the appliance. Close the gas supply,
ventilate the room and have the tightness of the
gas connection checked or have the appliance
repaired by a qualified professional or authorized
service centre.
