OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Prior to first use
Prior to operating a new appliance for the first time, wipe it with a wet and then a dry cloth.
Ventilation mode
In this mode, the exhausted vapours are ventilated through the output pipe into the airing shaft and out of the room. If
carbon filters are installed in the appliance,
remove them
(Refer to the Cleaning and Maintenance chapter).
1. Extend the front end of the appliance to enlarge the appliance‘s suction surface.
2. Select the required fan power (I or II) using the selector (1).
3. After use, switch the appliance off by setting the fan power level (1) to the „0“ position.
Re-circulation mode
If you have no possibility to exhaust the air out of the room, the re-circulation mode can be selected. In this mode, the
vapours are filtered through metal and carbon filters. Active carbon in these filters absorbs smells, and the clean air
flows back to the room. For this mode, you must
buy and mount
corresponding carbon filters (Refer to the Cleaning
and Maintenance chapter).
1. Extend the front end of the appliance to enlarge the appliance‘s suction surface.
2. Select the required fan power (I or II) using the selector (1).
3. After use, switch the appliance off by setting the fan power level (1) to the „0“ position.
Switching the lighting on and off
Press the switch (2) to turn the light on or off. The A position is used for setting the automatic light control via the front
panel; when the panel is extended, the light is on. When retracted, the light goes off.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
• Prior to any maintenance or cleaning, disconnect the power cord from the mains or switch off the circuit breaker of
the appliance power outlet.
•
Do not immerse the power cord, the plug, or the appliance into water or any other liquid.
• Set all controls to the off position, „0“.
• Clean the outer surface of the appliance with a wet cloth, or use a neutral cleaning agent.
• Do not use steel wool, coarse sponges, abrasive cleaners, solvents, or aggressive cleaning agents.
• Do not use an autoclave to clean the appliance!
CLEANING AND REPLACING THE FILTERS
a) Metal fat retention filters
Under normal use, the metal fat retention filters should be cleaned once every 2
months. In the case of more frequent frying or deep frying, shorten the replacement
interval. Do not use the appliance without properly mounted metal fat retention
filters!
1. Remove the metal filters (Fig. 1).
2. Let the metal filters soak in warm water with detergent added. Clean them with a soft
brush, rinse with clean water, and allow to dry.
3. Remount the completely dry filters following the reverse steps.
