Cette vis règle la puissance de la tondeuse. Elle
demande un ajustement si le courant de secteur
est faible. (La tondeuse Conair

est conçue pour

1. Avec un tournevis ou une pièce de
monnaie, tourner la vis dans le sens
antihoraire jusqu’au cliquetis.
2. Ramener la vis dans le sens horaire
jusqu’à ce que le cliquetis disparaisse et
puis tourner à environ 45 degrés. Il s’agit du
réglage maximal.
LAME DE L’ HUILE A VANT DE L’ UTILISER
Ne tirez jamais le fil de la tondeuse. Ne tordez
ni n’enroulez le fil autour de la tondeuse. P our
le rangement, placez-la à pla t, le fil enroulé,
puis insérez-la dans le cylindre.
Si la tondeuse s’arrête et que cette mesure
n’aide pas, essayer de desserrer les lames pour
enlever les cheveux.
Si la tondeuse fonctionne toujours mais sans
couper, vérifi ez les lames. Pour obtenir des
lames neuves, faites parvenir un chèque ou
mandat-poste de 8,00 $, qui couvrent les frais

from the date of purchase if the appliance is
defective in workmanship or materials.

POWER SCREW
The power screw permits you to adjust power
to your clipper. You may need to make this ad-
justment if the power in your house is low. (The
Conair
®
clipper was designed for household
use.)
1. With a screwdriver or a dime, turn the
power screw counter clockwise until the
arm strikes the coil, making a clacking noise.
(FIG. 1)
2. Then turn the screw clockwise, just
until the noise stops and then turn about
45 degrees. This is the maximum power
setting. (FIG. 2)
OIL BLADE BEFOR E USE
Never pull on the clipper cord. Never twist or
wrap the cord around the clipper. To store your
clipper, lay it flat with the cord coiled up, then
place in cylinder. If clipper stops cutting, check
to see if there is a clump of hair lodged between
the blades. If that is the problem, unplug the
clipper and then loosen the blades to remove
the hair.
If the clipper stops cutting but does not stop run-
ning, you will need to check the blades. For new
blades, send a check or money order for $5.00

pulling or grabbing hair, it means they are losing

Attachment combs should also be replaced if

La tondeuse Conair

a été soigneuse-
ment inspectée pour assurer le bon aligne-
ment des lames. Il faut les réaligner si on les
enlève pour les netto yer ou si elles ont été
frappées. Comment savoir si elles sont hors
d’alignement? A pparier tout simplement les
lames, dent pour dent, comme indiqué sur
l’illustration suivante.
1. Le bord du peigne doit être 0,7 à 1,5
mm plus haut que le bord supérieur du
couteau. Ceci est important afin que la ton -
deuse ne coupe pas de trop près ni ne tou -
che à la peau.
2. La dent à l’extrême gauche du peigne doit
recouvrir ou se retrouver par-dessus la pre -
mière petite dent du couteau.
3. S’assurer que la grosse dent d’extrême droite
du couteau touche la dent d’extrême droite
du peigne.
HUILE SPÉCIALE
Pour garder les lames de la tondeuse Conair

en bon état, il faut les huiler à toutes les trois ou
quatre coupes. Placer quelques gouttes d’huile
sur les dents des lames, utilisant l’huile spéciale
Conair
®
fournie. F aire fonctionner la tondeuse
une minute. L’huile naturelle légère est spéci-
alement conçue pour la tondeuse Conair

vitesse. Ne pas utiliser d’autres huiles car elles

SHORT CUTS TO PERFECT FLAT

Always cut from the back of the neck to the
crown, using the longest comb setting. Hold
the comb attachment flat against the head and
slowly move the clipper up through the hair. Use
the same technique for the sides, cutting from
the bottom to the upper side of the head.

IF YOU DETERMINE THAT BLADE
ALIGNMENT IS INCORRECT:

hair clippers are carefully inspected
to insure that the blades are in perfect
alignment. You will need to realign the blades af-
ter removing them for cleaning or replacement,
or if they should be knocked out of alignment.
How can you tell if the blades need realigning?
Simply match them up, point for point, to con-
form with the below drawing.
1. To prevent the clipper from contacting the skin
or cutting too closely, make certain that the
end top blade teeth are

2. Position the extreme left-hand tooth of
the top blade so that it either covers, or
appears on the left of the first small tooth on
the bottom blade.
3. Make sure that the big tooth on the
bottom blade touches the extreme right-
hand tooth on the top blade.
SPECIAL OIL
To maintain the blades of your Conair
®
clipper, oil them after every three or four hair-
cuts. Gently place a few drops of oil on the teeth
of the blades, using the special Conair
®
oil in-
cluded with your set. Turn the clipper on for a
minute, then turn off. This light, natural oil was
formulated specifically for the Conair
®
high-
speed clipper. Because it is the right oil to use,
it will not slow down the blades. Never use any
other product. There is no substitute for Conair
oil. Keep oil out of the reach of children.
