Linux Installations
You can locate the latest device driver for Linux using one of these methods:

Download the latest device driver
ftp://ftp.comtrol.com/dev_mstr/LT/

Software and Documentation CD
: You can use the CD to check the driver
version on the CD against the latest released version. Open the
/html/
default.htm
file to use the menu system, which provides you with links to
download all software and documents.
Refer to the
README
file packaged with the Linux driver for driver installation
and configuration procedures.
Before you install the Linux NS-Link device driver:
1.
Make sure that you have programmed an appropriate network address into
the DeviceMaster LT. If you do not want to install PortVision DX on a
Windows system, you can use RedBoot, which is discussed in
2.
Make sure that you verify that you have the latest version of SocketServer
loaded on the DeviceMaster LT.
If you do not want to install PortVision DX (Page 15) to check the SocketServer
version, you can:
a.
Open SocketServer to check the version by opening your browser and
entering the IP address of the DeviceMaster LT.
Note:
Following images show the difference between SocketServer v9.xx
and previous versions.

Check the ftp site for the latest version:
ftp://ftp.comtrol.com/dev_mstr/LT/

c.
If necessary, download the latest version. If you do not want to use
PortVision DX, use RedBoot to upload the latest version of SocketServer,
which is discussed in
Uploading Firmware - Telnet Method (Linux)

Technical Supports recommends that you update to the latest version of
