Final Installation Steps
For optimum performance DroneMobile should be mounted horizontally away from metal panels that may disrupt or inhibit the DR-1000’s
GPS or cellular signals. Once a suitable location is found, mount the unit using two or more zip ties or velcro. If possible mount so that the
LEDs are visible for troubleshooting. Observe caution when mounting to avoid tension on the harnesses as they may come loose or damage
the DR-1000.
Move the vehicle out of any garage or covered enclosure. We recommend 10 to 20 feet away from any building.
This is so the unit can receive any and all signals.
Do not connect the main harness and RS232 data cable to
the DR-1000.
Once activation is complete please test the unit using your Dealer Account.
If you let the website sit without
activity for 20 minutes you will not be able to access that DR-1000’s controls.
Once testing is complete
please give the Quick Start Card with serial number to the customer. They must complete a New User
Registration.
Note that the GPS light will shut off after 1 minute with Basic Plan subscription.
The LEDs will power on and begin flashing. The green LED will stop flashing after a few minutes and remain solid
green after it has locked onto a cellular signal. The red LED will stop flashing and remain solid when it locks onto
the GPS signal. (2-3 minutes) Signal strength is confirmed when the green cellular LED and red GPS LED are
solid.
Gather all necessary information to register and activate your system. Go to www.dronemobile.com to register,
activate, and test the DR-1000. Refer to the Online Registration section for details. Once the SIM Status changes
to “Active” then you may plug the main harness and RS232 data cable into the DR-1000.
