not push Horizontal Ladder tight against the Upright Ladders. Leave a 1⁄2” -
1” gap between the Upright Ladder rails and the Horizontal Ladder. This
will allow for easier adjustment of the Horizontal Ladder in the future.
10.
Using two strong adults, stand the assembled Horizontal Ladder set
into the holes.
11.
Install plugs into the ends of the Top Rails.
12.
Slide Top Rails into Top Sleeve of the Upright Ladders (see #2 Ladder
to Top Rail assembly). Secure set screws.
13.
Slide 3rd leg sleeve onto the top rail that is sleeved into the 10’ ladder.
14
. Measure 5 1⁄2’ - 6’ away from the 10’ Upright Ladder to mark and dig
the hole for the Third Leg (see #1B hole sizes for cementing).
15.
Before installing the third leg, locate the third leg. Insert 3⁄8” x 31⁄2” Hex
Bolt and loosely thread 3⁄8” Nut into the bottom hole. Nut will not thread all
the way on and bolt will be loose. (This is to act as an anchor in the
concrete and does not need to be tight.)
16.
Install Third Leg by dropping the end into the hole and sliding the top
into the 3rd leg sleeve. Use the 3/8” x 2 3/4” hex bolt and 3/8” nyloc nut.
Then secure 3rd leg with set screw on under side. (see diagram #4) When
properly positioned, secure the set screws in the top of the 3rd leg sleeve.
17.
Assemble and attach Swing Hangers to Top Rail (see swing hanger
assembly sheet).
18.
Attach swing chains, seats, trapeze bar and rings.
19
. Attach the Slide onto the 8’ Ladder (see Slide Assembly instruction
sheet).
20.
Measure the height of the Top Rails to insure proper swing height.
21.
Level the swing set.
22.
Mix concrete according to package directions and pour the appropriate
quantities into each hole.
23.
Allow cement to cure for 3-5 days and enjoy your Component
Playground.
