5.a. Position parts as shown below and insert assembly into ladder. Use the mark previously made on the
top rail to show you how far the assembly needs to be inserted. Insert set screws into the ladder top sleeve
and tighten until barely snug. Do not secure them at this point.

5.b. Using two strong adults lift the ladder and the A Frame end and allow the ladder to fall into its hole. You
can allow the structure to stand but it will not be level at this time.
Situate the ladder and “A” frame legs as desired in the space. Be certain that the top rail has not slid away
from its correct position. If it has moved, hold onto the ladder and adjust its position on the top rail by pulling
or pushing as necessary. When you are content with the position of the top rail within the top sleeve, secure
the set screws in the top sleeve.
